On June 26, 2010 I will run 26.2 miles in the Rock 'N' Roll Seattle Marathon. Woo hoo!!! I chose Seattle over San Diego. This was not an easy decision as most of my friends are running in the San Diego Marathon and I very much want to run a marathon with them. There is something so mysterious and magical about running a marathon in Seattle though. Maybe it is because Seattle has been romanticized and been the birthplace for so many great things. Either way, Seattle is calling me and I am answering. And I am answering in a big way...I am so excited about this journey and I cannot think of a better way to see a city than to run through it, literally! So to my friends - my running partners, I apologize for not running in San Diego, this was a tough decision - super tough, but I feel that Seattle is my town for my first marathon. I hope you understand.

I am training for this marathon through Team In Training which supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I am a mentor this season. I also have another goal - to raise $2,600 to help find a cure for these blood diseases.
